Well, see, that was the clarification I needed. Just in something a little less barbaric.

However, I'd still like to know what the point is of making it a 'couples' only. (And by 'couple', I am speaking in platonic terms.)

And I never said I wanted to go alone, either. There was a rather big fuss about it, and I wanted to know why it was so important.

I didn't say there was any pander involved. All people are special to some degree, but there's no reason for special treatment.

Why is there need for such a thing? You treat one person one way and another in a different manner... It sparks envy, rage, depression, etc., etc. It seems safer to avoid such conflicts.
