I woke up early to attend my WW meeting on Saturday.
I did expect to loose but I wasn't sure how much.
I often have to factor in my monthly cycle and this week I was on my period and when I'm NOT actively cutting portions and exercising in the past I've gained anywhere from 3-5 pounds during.
So like I said in the last post I'm learning what to expect when it comes to weight loss and my cycle.
To my surprise I had a loss. A minimal one, but still a loss.
The week I lost .2 of a pound.
Now then, every tiny amount of weight off of me I'm making a point to celebrate because I have an incredibly slow metabolism so any week where I'm down in the numbers I consider it a success.
After the WW meeting Matt and I had a date.
A very BIG date with our Garage.
It took us 3 hours to clean and organize and our neighbor-friend Cassie even helped us at the beginning to lug everything out of the garge before I sorted it all out.
I had several piles going on
• Keep
• Toss
• Donate
• Give to friends
We threw out 4 bags of trash/recycling.
Donated 2 big boxes to OUt of the Closet.
Gave 2 boxes full of cool creepy kid stuff to Cassie's Beautiful God Children, Zoe and Lelani
And the funniest thing happened: People kept walking up thinking it was a garage sale. But since I had a free pile right there on the side walk I let them pick through the donate-ables and take what they wanted. Several people who where just out on bike rides stopped to asked about things. One guy said "Hey that's a cool vintage suitcase? Are you selling it? "No" I said, "it's free and it's yours"

AFTER: BEHOLD MY ORGANIZED GARAGE!!!
When we finished the sun was beating down on us and it was a hot one in Berkeley on Sat. So, we opted to call up my folks and invited ourselves over for a swim in their pool
After hugging and having a nice visit with Nana; we all went swimming. After 2 hours of swimming I convinced Matt, my sister and Brother in Law to join me in a Letterboxing excursion. We stayed out 'til the sun came down and found some REALLY interesting stamps. And our excursion lead us to the Pioneer Cemetary in Calistoga, and I'd never been there before. It was really interesting to see headstones of some of the people who originally settled in Napa Valley.
The four of us went back to my parents house for drinks and sat around and bull-shitted one another until it was time for Matt and I to go home.
Sunday Matt's family picked up at 9:15 am and we headed north to Sonoma County. We went letterboxing in Cotati and Petaluma. Mid-letterboxing excursions we were treated to lunch at graffitti... which has amazing food and drinks, ( I made a point to keep my tasting to a minimum ordering a tapas plate, a small ceaser salad and a bowl of soup.) Then the day was filled with excitement and a ton of mini-hikes in the sun 'cause well, that's where the clues lead us. The town of Petaluma was hot, and had the lingering smell of cow-shit in some of the parks we went to. But we all had a good time and found NINE different stamps. My favorite ones were found at General Vallejo's Old Adobe house.
Matt and I were dropped off at our apartment around 6pm, and we were beat. Too tuckered out to cook dinner, I opted to order sushi from my favorite sushi restaurant and had it delivered. We ate while we watched Law and Order and then at 9:15 we went to Piedmont springs to soak our sore muscles in one of their outdoor hot tubs.
I'm SO glad we did this because most of Sunday my back was sore from all the lifting and bending over to sort out the boxes in the garage.
I sleep SO well last night. I only woke up when the power went out and because the apartment instantly got too quiet.
I'm glad I did cause I was able to set the alarm on my phone and well, I wasn't late today.
I was very active and busy this weekend, I sweated out BUCKETS and have the sore back and hamstrings to prove it.
I'm most happy about wrestling the big Alligator that was our garage.
However, I didn't make/have the time to plan figure out the meals for the week, so that's what I'm aiming to do with tonight's activities.
After work, I'm heading to Trader Joe's and Berkeley Bowl west for our weekly produce/staples.
With this week's loss
I now have 36.2 lbs pounds to go to meet my goal.
How are y'all doing with your goals?.
