I prefer the older kids myself, age 6 till 12. Not sure which grades to call those, since the Dutch schoolsystem is a bit different from the American system! To be honest, I wouldn't last a week with the youngest kids but have much respect for those who can! :D

Really? And first grade is generally six to seven years old. I love little children a whole lot, and have always just had them swarm around me. I don't mind it much, so that's why I think I should teach them, because most people I know can't put up with a bunch of little children running around.

Ah, I see! So first grade, or as they call it groups here, so group 1 is all 4 years old!! 6/7 years old is group 3 already! It goes till group 8. Like I said, tiny bit different here!! So I thought you were talking about teaching 4 year olds! I couldn't handle that! Oh well!

Oh, that's called "preschool" here. Then 5/6 is kindergarden, and then 6/7 is first, 7/8 is second etc etc all the way until middle school (or junior high) that's 7th and 8th grade 12/14. then you finally get to high school, which is four years 14 - 18 and that's when it's freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior. THEN IT'S COLLEGE. Don't think you really wanted to know, but I figured I'd just tell you. So yes, I want to teach 6 to 7 year olds.
Really? Yeah, and while I was adding you I saw your birthday is Sept. 5. Mine is Sept. 6. That made me laugh an awful lot. Oh, and my name is Taylor haha.
Thanks for explaining, I always found it a bit confusing! Here it´s group 1 till group 8. (4-12 years) Then it´s high school, 13-18 (could also be 13-16, depending which level your on, 4 years minimum, 6 years max for high school here) and then it´s off to college! We do call the youngest kindergarden as well but they´ve merged into one ´elementary school` since I believe 1998! Okay, enough with the difficult school stuff! ;)
Sept. 6, really? (looks at profile) Hehe but I´m from `84 so that makes me a year and one day older!! HA! LOL! I´m Anouk btw! Nice to meet you! :D And I´m off to bed now, though it´s hard to leave! Work starts at 8 (till 6) tomorrow and it´s 11.30 already! <33
Yeah ... it's really, really confusing here. Your system sounds much less confusing haha. But we Americans like to take simple things, put our own twist on it, and make it very, very confusing for the rest of the world to make ourselves feel smart. I can say this because I do the same thing.
Yeah, Sept. 6. Actually, I'm turning seventeen when my birthday rolls around so that makes you ... eight years and one day older. With all the blocks on age here, I just ... bumped my age up so I could read everything haha. I'm so horrible, I know.

Just one more question on the school subject, curious to know how many years of college it takes to get your degree(?)/diploma in teaching? Here it's 4 years! :)
