there is a moment. there's always a moment when you meet someone who makes you nervous just by talking in your direction. and your heart starts racing with a need to be close to them, and your head runs wild with possibility. you may picture them engaging in a good conversation, being hooked on every word that you say. you assume that they'd probably like the song you were listening to a little earlier that day. they might mention their mom, and suddenly for a slight second you wonder if maybe she'd like you. the point is that, there is always a defining moment where you are left to make a decision. you can either take these thoughts, these impulses, these attractions, and you can run with them. or, you can hide them. reject them. bury them deep deep down inside with hopes that they will never see the light again. because the truth is, that moment can ruin you. that person, no matter how attractive or kind, IS going to let you down. we have to practice self control. we cannot be led only by our emotions. logic tells us that there should only be one person, in our entire life, who will not completely let us down, and they will only find us when we least expect it.
