Room 313 [midafternoon]
Greg quietly sat in room 313, his chemistry set before him, reflecting on the events of the past few days.
First, there had been Shirtless Day, which he had naturally participated in, and then helpfully recreated the night before. And while shirtless on Friday, he'd had an interesting talk with Isabel. And that hadn't been a conversation he'd wished he was fully clothed for, nope.
Then later on that night, he'd noticed what Tyler was up to - the idiot - and tried to stop him. Failing that, he'd chatted with Zack until Tyler'd blown himself up and they'd had to take him to the clinic.
Greg sighed, and carefully measured out luminol and sodium hydroxide and gently dropped them into water to dissolve. This was a fun and easy home experiment and there was barely any heat involved.
At least Tyler's roommate agreed. And upon returning to the common room, he had to agree that Shirtless Day kind of rocked, even if he'd gotten photographed against his will. Not like he minded much.
Then on Saturday, he'd met Alanna and re-met Bridge who was not "Brad" and who was apparently psychic. Which was a little tough to deal with, Greg decided, as he dissolved two and a half grams of potassium ferricyanide in water, and added five milliliters of hydrogen peroxide. He doled out the correct amounts of both solutions and poured them together into a beaker, smiling as he stirred gently.
Harder to follow was the demon thing, which was why he was carefully measuring out fluorescein. He wasn't anywhere near figuring out how Bel had done the teleporting thing, but the fire? That was easy enough to discern. It was just a matter of seeing which compounds he'd used to create the effects.
He flicked off the lights and combined the solutions again, letting out a soft, "Oooh." He scribbled down some notes on a pad of paper beside him.
He'd forgotten he'd left the door slightly cracked, though, so anyone who wandered past might see some interesting glowing from within the darkness of the room.
