[In case this confuses non-comic readers or those who have never seen the old Batman TAS cartoon from the 90s, basicly, the topic of the 3ed part of the conversation suggests a movie about how the Joker ruined Batgirl & Robin's lives].
--------------------------------------...
Alice Hatter said: "How about a Killing Joke movie? This is yet another of my silly movie ideas, but does anyone else think that The Killing Joke has the potential to be turned into a movie? Nothing need be added, but the scenes would have to run on a bit longer. Ideally, Tim Burton would direct it. I remember in some interview he said that it was his favourite comic, and that he "loved The Killing Joke"
**********Also, rated MA15+... The whole shooting of Barbara Gordon would have to be fairly gory to do justice to Alan Moore. Let alone the scene where Commissioner Gordon is being driven insane by the Joker and those little creepy baby monsters. Also, what were those things?
**********If it was done with a very dark setting, and alot of emphasis put on the psychological side of the story (as oppose to just the action sequences), I think this movie would earn alot of respect from the Comic Community. Undoubtedly, the mainstream media and mainstream reviewers wouldnt get it, but in terms of respect, this movie would be rolling in it".

@NotBrian: " The sad thing is that it wont ever be made by the mainstream. Theres just not enough selling potential. People want action! However i recon if it was handled with care, and by someone competent, it could make a great short film. Rather then extending scenes to fit the timeslot, it could probably fit nicely into a 15/20 minute film. I'd love to make that film "
--------------------------------------...
Likalaruku: "This is true. Perhaps it should be a movie that combines events. The Killing Joke & then fading years latter to Oracle 121-124. If the movie still needs more action, cram A Death in the Family & Batman 638 (Under the Hood), 649, & 650 (All they do it watch us kill) in. Then it would have Joker vs Batgirl & Robin & progressing into Joker vs Oracle & Jason Todd. Even if you hate Jason Todd, the movie would suggest that Batman accidently killed him at the end. Since both short story archs end with the Joker getting the last laugh, both the climax & end of the movie would focus on Batman vs Joker battles".
--------------------------------------...
Alladinwa: "Personally, I don't want to know the origin of Joker (notwithstanding "The Killing Joke" which I didn't like, anyway). It would humanize Joker, and a big part of what makes Joker is that he is devoid of humanity. Even watching him change from what he was into Joker would give him a pathos that would diminish the evil and menace that is Joker".
**********"It would be like Rob Zombie turning Michael Myers into just another psychotic who suffers from an abusive childhood. I want Michael Myers and Joker to be embodiments of pure evil with no mitigating factors".
--------------------------------------...
Likalaruku: "Good point. Seeing as the Joker has at least 4 origin stories & Lovers & Madmen trumps all of them due to Crisis on Infinate Worlds nullifying anything that happened to Batman prior to Modern Age comics & the Batman Confidential being a complete rewrite of Batman's early history, the Joker's origin should be left out.
**********"In other words, the movie should skip the part of Killing Joke that happens before the Joker goes after the Gordon family.
