Lisa: ‘Twas a dark and stormy night... but it was Lisa and Kevin’s fifth anniversary, so they weren’t going to let the weather get them down. Kevin had the evening all planned out, but wanted to keep it a surprise. He had warned Lisa the night previously that the car might smell faintly of cat urine (long story), but still… Lisa was in good spirits. She didn’t need anything fancy… it was enough to be spending time with Kevin on such a happy evening.
Kevin: So imagine her surprise when a limo pulled up to the end of her driveway! Unfortunately, the driver, named “Cory,” decided not to approach the door. Instead he stayed in the limo, thinking that the people that he had seen inside of Lisa’s house were going to eventually come out. When Lisa went back to the front window, she saw something intriguing to her. The limo had disappeared!
Lisa: Lisa, being the genius that she is, figured out what might have happened. The driver had gone to the wrong house first, expecting that her house was in fact Kevin’s house. Kevin had called the limo company and said “hey, where’s my limo?”… etc. But of course in the back of her mind Lisa was thinking that there was no way the limo had been for her. But, yes… yes it was. The limo returned several minutes later with Kevin inside…and he whisked her off to dinner in style! But not before he asked her a question.
Kevin: Some genius she was indeed. The night had begun with a few complications, Kevin was determined to make this night one to remember. Once Lisa and Kevin were safely inside the limo, Kevin let slip that he thought that he wouldn’t like to be Lisa’s boyfriend anymore. The idea was getting boring and stale to him. He then proceeded to pull a little blue box out of his pocket, and popped “The Question.” To no one’s surprise, Lisa said “I would love that!” without a moment’s hesitation. It was a heartwarming experience, considering that she spent more time looking at Kevin than the stone (long story ;) ).
Lisa & Kevin: This story could go on for quite a while, so if you’d like to hear more about our fantastic evening of excitement and misadventure, please ask us! We just wanted to let you all know our great news. We’re sorry if our writing sucks. We’re just so freakin happy! And in case you’re wondering… Fall ’08. Stay tuned. Happy holidays everyone!
