One More Friendly Neighborhood Vampire
*sigh* I just re-watched the second episode of this season's Vampire Diaries and it is still freaking AWESOME. They delve so well into ALL of the characters' storylines!
I groaned at the end of the first ep when Cathrine killed Caroline with the blood in her system (NOOOOOOOOOO!) but this week has me going "Vampire Caroline. WOOT!" I loved how she discovered ALL of the vampire stuff on her own. The first time she fed on blood was well done. The first time she fed on a human was even better, and the story that she gave to the nurse for an excuse still sends me into fits of giggles. I also love that the first time she fed on someone, she still had enough control to leave her alive and well. And how she calmed herself down in Matt's arms (awwww!).
I could go on and on about every single scene Caroline was in this episode, but I'll channel my squee into my absolute favorite moment: her first confrontation with Damon. Damon and Jeremy and John rocked all kinds of awesomeness in this ep, but the way that Ian and Candice played off of one another had me reeling with glee. Caroline remembered the abuse and she used her new found strength to stand up for herself against the abuser. YES!!!! She was all smart and sassy and Damon didn't quite know what to make of her. His past actions are finally coming back to bite him. But it's really fun! Can't wait 'til next week!
