Wow, I haven't updated in nearly a month.  Not exactly blogging like a champ, am I?  It's not that I don't have things to talk about - I do, lots of things - it's just that I don't know how to put them into words.  There's the weight loss (30 down, 70 to go!), boy drama (don't ask), and all kinds of other things.  I'm just not finding words lately ( Read more... )

The diet is getting easier and harder at the same time. Easier in that I am getting more proficient in the kitchen and that my food limitations are forcing me to broaden my horizons to get me a little bit of variety (lamb and duck and pears - oh, my!). Harder in that I AM TOTALLY SICK OF CHICKEN SOUP and it's getting more and more difficult to find large meals I can make ahead to eat at lunch at work all week. I had a cooking disaster last night that left me without any lunches this week, so I'll be fiendishly cooking extra dinners all week to have leftovers the next day. I'm spending so much time in the kitchen now and it's beginning to wear on me.

I am not exercising at all, which is sad. I just don't have time. But I've been losing 3-4 pounds a week in the six weeks, anyway, since I added gluten to my no-no list. Today I got an e-mail from a co-worker who said that she and another co-worker noticed as I walked by their desks that I looked GREAT. About ten minutes later another co-worker stopped me as I walked past her desk to tell me I was looking amazing. It's so good to hear because to me, I don't look any different. I'm wearing smaller clothes, but I look in the mirror and I'm still not at all happy with what I see. So I'm really glad that people are telling me! :)
