Things on my mind-

Cakes! Too many Cake Wrecks, too much Cake Boss and Ultimate Cake Off, and the addition of Ace of Cakes and Food Network Challenge to my television viewing schedule (neither of which I like as much as their TLC's counter parts) has left cakes on the brain. Good thing Grandma's birthday is on Thursday so I can bake and decorate to my little heart's content. Woot!

The puppy is getting bigger still, but she would also appear to be growing up a little bit, finally. She will actually stop and snuggle on the couch for a few minutes now, and can make it through the day without an accident now too, which is truly a God-send.

Time to start making the Christmas cards. I have half the supplies I need and won't allow myself to order the rest until I have finished this part. Blarg.

Creative Memories. I had a really good October and actually met my quota a month early, which I have never done before, but I know that if I really want this to work I need to start contacting those people from the Harvest Festival and seeing if they want to order or (gulp) host a party. I'm not so fond of doing home parties, but it may be the only way to make this work.

Baby Neko! All of her pictures are so sweet and I hate that we won't get to meet her until Christmas. I did the Liz appropriate thing and headed to the Build-A-Bear Workshop the day she was born to build her a friend to remind her of us as she grows. We even took a picture of us with the bear to frame and send with it so her little brain will have a reference as to who we are. It sounds like she is incredibly well behaved and attentive, and of course adorable. We expected no less from Ryan and Leigh though :)

Finally, the Matten. While the money that he is making in his new job is wonderful, and has already changed our lifestyle, I still can't help but miss him terribly on nights when he is gone. On top of that I can't seem to get myself to go to bed at a decent hour when he's gone. Maybe now's a good time to head to bed. I suppose I can head in to work a little later seeing as how I have only the pets to rush home to. On a nice note, the illusion of an intruder caused by a reflection in the window proved to us that the dog will bark viciously when appropriate. That's a relief. What's the point in having a medium sized-dog if she can't act as your guard dog. I mean, besides the love and companionship ;) Well, off to the land of Winken, Blinken and Nod.
