More specifically, as you fill your head with other things like classes and school life and complaining about the things that suck and commiserating with other students and making friends and having social dramas and joining in with fun things and writing papers and procrastinating-
You will still be homesick but you won't have time to remember it.
A good night's sleep can do wonders. Make sure you get enough of them!
Eating well helps, too. Not always easy in a dorm!
And last bit of advice, lj often :) Venting and sharing happiness is important. (Oh, wait, that's as much for us as it is for you -- we want to hear how you're doing!)
hah. thanks hun! yeah i think i'm going to start lj'ing a little more than i have been recently. it really does make me feel better. i'm gonna update about today in a second :)
