A lot of changes
I have been at my new job for a little over a month now. I really like it. The people are awesome and the work makes the day go by quickly. I love having my weekends off! It feels so strange to be working only Monday through Friday, but I get so much more done.
We spent this weekend looking at houses. We aren't near ready to buy, but we wanted to see what was available. I want an older house that we could remodel and fix up, George wants a brand new house. I don't want to spend more than about $80-90,000. The monthly payments wouldn't be that much, we wouldn't have to watch every penny, and we could still afford to go on vacations, etc. The houses George wants are mostly in the $125-150,000 range. I'm just not comfortable committing to that much monthly payment.
At any rate, we won't be making a decision until summer at the absolute earliest. We want to get our credit cards and such paid off first, and there is no reason to rush into it.
