More book time!
As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann. The main premise is that the 17th century sucks. Then you spend 600 pages munching popcorn soaked in blood, sweat and tears (to name only a few of the condiments available) waiting with dread to see just how much it's going to suck. Also it's about history + men kissing + bloody conflict... WAIT I know I know, where is this kid getting her book recs T_T;; (Actually this time it's from stalking like-minded reviewers on Goodreads.) At least I know what I like?
On the book, If I had to I'd say: Endless World meets Barry Lynden.
...and this whole post exists just so I could type that sentence. Seriously though I probably need to stop rereading the same story set in different wars XD Especially if it leaves me this distressed every time.
Now for things winamp really shouldn't do when I'm thinking about certain *coughkavalierandclayhcough* books:
