so she gave up
this week, i have decided not to complain. for one whole week, i am going to try to reign in my thoughts and my words and cultivate a sense of gratitude. or at the very least, a better attitude;) so, i will be biting my tongue frequently i am sure, since complaining is...well, let's just say a little too usual for me.
the kids are in their last week of school for this year. tonight they are doing a program at their school--it's a cultural fair--and nathan informed me last night that he volunteered me to make something russian and something arabic. usually, i would complain about this--instead we looked together for something simple we could do and found the perfect things. we are making russain tea cakes and couscous. i am glad that we were able to come to a simple solution to what might have been a pinch.
zoe and gordon started swim classes yesterday and will be going every afternoon this week. gordon took lessons last summer so this year we are building confidence and strength. zoe did pretty good. she was "the screamer" in her class, but it wasn't because she was afraid. it was b/c she doesn't like strangers to touch her and she didn't remember the swim coach from last year. she was so stinkin' cute in her pink bathing suit--my goodness, the girlyness was over the top, and she was loving it!
