Losing my job
Well, it is now less than 2 months until I am out of a job and I have made an interesting decision! LOL I'm taking the month of August off! I'll be a stay-at-home mom - which is funny, because I have always wanted to work, I took the 3 mos with Tyler, but was ready to go back to work then! I've been working over 18 years straight & figured it was time to take a break.
With my severance package, I should be able to pay off all my bills and basically be debt-free except for our house payment. We then can live on my husband's salary (it will be tight, but doable, I'm sure people have lived on less than that).
I've told Tyler & he is so excited to be able to stay home. We plan on bike riding in the mornings & then hitting the pool in the afternoons (at least until it closes on Aug 12). Then we'll hit the art museum, the children's museum, the airplane museum, etc. He starts back to school on the 25th.
During August, I will be looking for a job. However, I'm not sure I'm going to try to find an IT job. I was thinking an administrative assistant, office manager, receptionist, or secretary would be a great job to have. I'd like to find a small business that I would be the front person doing the books, working on the computers, answering phones, typing letters, setting appointments, - basically running the whole office. But we'll see what comes up.
