Sounds like life's treating you grand! What're you studying?

As for bikes- I recommend this book, it's amazingly useful and has saved me loads of cash already. 'Cause really, most bike repairs/maintenance are pretty simple with a modest outlay of cash for tools (~$30-50), a good book and some elbow grease.

Guitar- yay, guitar! I got one recently and have been teaching myself surf rock songs and various scales:)
