Veener and I went to Joe's pub to see Maxi Geil and Playcolt on Monday. They are my friend Keith's brother-in-laws band. I have now gone to 2 of their shows and am now becoming the bands groupie by association to Keith's family. They totally remind me a little of my old b-friends band Hoegarden. They've got that silliness about them I just love, ntm the cute guitarist with the chewbacca facial hair.
Their friend Neal Medlyn, Mr. Lower East Side did the best performance art piece with a fan and confetti singing the best love song ever by LL. He ended his set, getting naked and singing about squirels, me thinks. It's was hillarious. Best ever was singin smells like teen spirit through the kiddie sand bucket.
