Today is Independence Day,
and I celebrated in a somewhat peculiar way.
It was rainy and grey, i slept until half past 11,
and the family turned up in shifts around 1.
I hung about with that crowd until 5 when LB came 'round to fetch me
We wandered by the diner to sup and then to Starbucks to feed my addiction.
The fireworks were postponed so we pulled an invitation out of BR to muster up at his abode.
We watched a few rounds of Scrubs before LB cried awkward and we left,
only to find ourselves at a gas station, where she, appearing older than me, grabbed me a pack of fags.
We then continued to an old Jewish Cemetery where she spent an hour laying in the grass,
musing about the purpose of life,
while i chain-smoked my cowboy killers and spoke of my desire to commit my life to discovering Vampires,
much like Jesse's character in Queen of the Damned
(the book, mind you)
Now I'm watching The History Boys,
am most wonderful play-turned-film with Stephen Moore and Frances de la Tour.
It's quite inspiring, I reccomend it.
All for now,
Isolated Neurotic.
