It just occurred to me that "home of the free and land of the brave" are the lines that map to "myrtle of venus and bacchus's vine".
Oh man. I'm having second thoughts about the whole "drinking song for a national anthem" being a bad thing. We should totally organize protests mixing up the drinking and the nation's lyrics, and filk in some additional lines about sexual liberty or freedom of and from religion and whatnot.
