Apollo staggers through the portal, the world swimming. His shirt is undone, his shoes in his hand, he can't quite see straight and he still feels like he's burning

Time enough to hear about candy, chocolate that 'did things' to people. Time enough to see that John and Apollo were eating said candy, and may not be responsible for their own actions.
Time enough to scoop up Apollo just as he sinks to the floor - always there for the other man.
"Come on, you nancy. Let's get you cleaned up and in bed."
Apollo sank in Midnighter's grip, heat and light pouring off him. "I don't- feel well." His eyes blink, too slowly, open bright with light. "Midnighter, I feel sick. I'm hot. And I want more chocolate."
He loosely wraps his arms around Midnighter's neck, pressing close to him. He's cool. It feels better.
"I'm sorry. I love you." Buries his face in his husband's neck. "I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me."
"No! No, Angie, I don't want Angie to see me like this." Strokes a hand along Midnighter's face, tracing the fit of his cowl. "Please... I want a cold bath."
He wraps his arms around his neck again. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Midnighter. I love you, and no cute, strange single father will ever change that, 'cause you're everything."
Stops breathing, because it's troublesome. Just rests his head on Midnighter's shoulder. //No Angie. Please.//

Really, any time at all is more than enough time.
He sounds.. tired.

"You are sick, Apollo. That chocolate was tainted. You'll be alright. But it'll probably take a day or two to run its course."
Insert mothering, overprotective tone.
"So we go to Angie, ask her to help clear out your blood, detox you - and bed rest until you're alright."
And no, he's not going to let Apollo out of bed, even if he has to sit on the other man to keep him there.
