Not really. We recently all received letters with an excerpt from what is apparently the Mayor's journal, but no one is sure how real it is.

From time to time, the island... does things. Sometimes it's a festival of some sort, and others strange things happen, such as getting stuck to another person or suddenly gaining powers. Memories often come back after these things happen, so it would seem that they're connected somehow.

Not willingly. People vanish from time to time, just as randomly as they arrive. We... don't know what happens to them.
