[Despite all them pesky "PRIVATE + UNHACKABLE" tags, an out-and-about X has seen enough strangeness and marriage complaints to put two and two together. The final case-cracker for this conclusion was Tear's entry on the subject. HA. CHRIS AND ETHAN, YOU GUYS CAN EAT IT. EAT IT. I WASN'T THE DICK THIS TIME. =D Or rather, I didn't manipulate X ( Read more... )

If all of this is another one of the island's tricks, then why does it all feel so real?

...

It does feel real, doesn't it. It feels too real.

But how can it be?

I don't know, and I don't like it either, but I can remember the wedding and what it felt like and everything.

I'm not sure what's worse: being married, or finding out that this place can give us fake memories that feel completely real.

Well...one way or the other, we'll find out eventually. (*X hopes.*) Besides, it shouldn't be too hard to cancel the marriages if the parties involved don't want any part of it. I didn't meet a lot of people who were thrilled about suddenly having a spouse.

And if the memories are real, then...we wouldn't have married who we did without a reason, right? We must've found something we loved about them, or at least, a rational motivation for tying the knot. I don't want to think something like this happened aimlessly.

...Hey, if this isn't helping, you don't have to pay me any mind. I know I'm going in circles.

I don't know...I mean, Nall's a pretty okay guy, as far as people go around here, but getting married to him? I don't know why I'd get married to anyone when I'm only sixteen! I'm not even sure if that's legal!

I must've had some reason to do something like that...but I can't remember what it is.

Keep in mind, we don't yet have anything concrete to support the idea that we really did any of this. The most we can do right now is deal with the situation until everything clears up.

Until then...I hope this doesn't come off as intrusive, but I think it'd be a good idea for you and Nall to talk this over. As far as I know, Memento Eden isn't forcing any of us to live together or act lovey-dovey. We can all just go about life as normal until this whole thing is over with.

Don't have anything concrete? What are you talking about? What about the rings? And the wedding outfits! Those aren't concrete?

Oh, believe me, we are talking. Even if we don't start living together or any of that stuff, it's still hard to figure out what to do now.

They're tangible, but they're not necessarily proof of our actions. If people can just appear out of nowhere on this island, how much harder could rings and dresses be? They could be from home, or they could've been fabricated for the event. There's no obvious way to tell which one's true right now.

I guess you're right about that. But that means that they gave us fake memories of the weddings. Messing around with the island is one thing, but messing with my head like that is way too creepy.
