Yesterday I hung out with the brother. We went out for hotdogs, and had a wander around town. We rented movies from Vasu. We also gossiped about people. A lot of people find it strange that we genuinely like being around each other, and we enjoy snarking about people around town. Be careful of the Gibson children! You don't want to cross them!
We decided to have a BBQ this evening. There were hot dogs, pork chops, and three kinds of salads. We laid out in the yard in our deck chairs. My brother waxed poetic about how brilliant Lyndon B. Johnson was back in the day. There were plenty of Here here's! We ended up in a conversation about classic BBQ and fried chicken joints. Especially the wicked awesome ones in the south. My mother mentioned Jane and Michael stern's books,
Road Food, and
Two for the Road. Both amazing books.
I think we are going out to the beach in a moment.
