Prom. That magical time where everything crazy brewing in the world can melt away. For what's likely to be an entirely different ball of crazy. But at least its a change. And goodness knows Jean needs it.
So now that she's settled at Marie's place (no longer just a best friend, or like-a-sister, but her super-amazing savior and roommate), its time to celebrate! (party away the sadness, seems like a safe bet).
So its on the train, to the city!
It'll be a shopping extravaganza! Jean's got it all prepared. She'll convince the sales people of the grand designer stores in SoHo and along Madison and Park that she and Marie are the next big thing. They'll throw dresses their way in hopes of publicity, she and Marie will get their dream gowns for prom, and the sellers can be pleased, thinking they've sold to the next big thing. They'll return the dresses after prom, no harm done.
