Her Bags are Packed, She's Ready to Go
Consider this a lesson in life. There is good and there is evil. Loved ones will always be a target. Bane's words echo in her mind as she finishes packing her suitcase. After a night of trying to explain just how extensive her powers are to her concerned parents, she leaves them a note and slides out the back door.
First stop, she leaves a package with a farewell note outside of Johnny's door. For Johnny, she leaves a heart-shaped rock from the cliff where they shared their moment; and for Marie, a friendship locket. Of course, Marie'll be at Johnny's side. Then, wiping back tears, she leaves a tray of freshly baked brownies for Thor, with one of the carnival prizes he won for her, the day they first kissed. "I'm sorry my Thunder God. I have to go. To keep my family safe. I'm so lucky, unlike most of our classmates, I have people - normal people - I need to protect. And staying here, I fear I can no longer do that. I can't tell you where I'm going, because I don't know yet. But we'll see each other again. Until we do, its been wonderful."
Once the farewell gifts have been left, she gathers her bag and the money she's saved up from tutoring and climbs in her car, prepared to drive - wherever. Somewhere. Far away from any of her family, so that no one can try to hurt them because of her again. But before she can leave, she finds herself parking in the school lot, just watching her friends go about their day. Its early morning now, and she wanted one last glimpse before she goes. She wishes she could have left gifts for them all.
