Just got the call...
iron_clad will be going to New Orleans for search and rescue. If you are super interested to know the date/time that he'll be leaving say so in your comments and I'll send you a private message. (as of this post Hurricane Gustav is set to hit the coast of Louisiana as a class three hurricane at about 2pm tomorrow.) That's all I know about that. He's a bit concerned as depending on it's speed, they may have to sail through what is now Tropical Storm Hanna.
Mom and Frank have already evacuated up to my grandmother's house a couple hours north of N.O. Right now the hurricane is projected to hit pretty hard where their house is down south. Please do your thing to wish this storm smaller and less powerfull and that Hanna doesn't go turning herself into a hurricane.
Looks like Houma and all LA coast getting hit with the rain bands and we are due within the hour. Local weather says for BR to expect 75mph sustained wind tomorrow and 92mph gusts with 6-12 inches rain. Houma to have 88-100mph sustained wind with 110 gusts. Hope those hurricane bands in attic for roof hold!!! Under tornado watch now. Weather update at 9 expects to tell us the eye should be ashore at daybreak earlier than expected before.
