Yeah...

[Jack wasn't a huge fan of the day in the first place. Rose always made a big deal about it, but Jack never thought it was all that important. He'd just let Rose choose what she wanted to do, after the inevitable argument that would have preceeded it because Jack forgot/didn't care about the date.]

Valentine's Day isn't something I usually care about... but seeing all these couples everywhere just makes me miss her even more.

[Heather had never been in a serious relationship, herself, so she had always more or less treated the day as not much more than an excuse to eat tons of those powder-frosted cherry lollipops that made your mouth look like you'd been feasting on the blood of innocents.]

[In any case, she plants a hand against the wall and sinks down into a sitting position next to Karp. The ground's kinda wet but meh, who cares.]

I guess I can't really say I know how you feel, but I at least know it sorta sucks.

It sucks a whole lot less when you have someone to enjoy the day with, that's for sure.

[Maybe he shouldn't have taken those times with Rose for granted. He'd just come to think of her as being constantly there, never thinking for one minute that he'd be without her. He probably would have enjoyed himself more when he was out with her, if he'd been thinking of more than just himself. The AI Colonel was right, he really was selfish.]

[Considering Karp is very affectionate, it might sort of help. But Karp is still just a giant water dragon, and doesn't have the woman's touch that Rose does (or even the human touch).]

Uh... I guess. I just sat here because Karp doesn't really... fit into rooms anymore.

[Even Liquid hadn't let her ride on his Gyarados! He was usually too busy using him as a platform to pontificate from.]
