[There's a shivering Jack in the Violet city Pokecenter, trying to warm up his hands. His hair is damp, as are his clothes, and he looks pretty irritated. A woman comes over (she looks suspiciously like the nurse in Cherrygrove, what gives?) and hands him a blanket and a warm cup of what looks to be hot chocolate. "You and your Pokemon will be fine. Your Magikarp seems quite cheerful, despite the weather!" "Yeah... thanks." "Karp karp~" The woman leaves, and Jack frowns at his ever-happy Magikarp before addressing the camera. He's still shivering violently.]
S-So letting a M-Magikarp splash around in t-the water when it's snowing is a r-really bad idea. Especially w-when it seems to think you want to play a game with it and s-soaks you t-through.
[Karp is just lying happily on its side on Jack's lap, clearly quite entertained by all of this. It seems bigger than before. Jack hadn't bothered to put it back in its Pokeball during the snowy trek from Cherrygrove to Violet, instead holding it under his arms- thinking maybe the bitter winds and snow would toughen it up a little. It had glowed perhaps a couple of times, but Jack had always just missed it and assumed he was imagining things. As a matter of fact, his theory had proven to be correct and Karp had gone up three levels. It had gone up another level splashing around in the water outside of Sprout Tower- right after soaking Jack through.]
...Aren't t-there any Pokemon that... you know... are actually w-warm? I heard there are f-fire types...
((Karp is now level 9~ ...No, it hadn't leveled up even once before this. Jack is a fail!Trainer.))
