One or two of you may recall from past conversations my mentioning that goats fight by forcibly slamming their heads together. They have, obviously, very hard heads, built to accommodate this practice. It is the section that horns would grow from, if we allowed them to.
Tonight, while I was milking/feeding/etc, Serengetti accidentally forcibly slammed her head into my face.
I heard the impact.
Obviously, as I am sitting here typing, she didn't break any bones. The blow landed to the left of my nose, and slightly above my cheekbone. I do have a lovely bruise under my eye, though.
And it did hurt. XD
I wobbled inside and told Megan (she was the only one home,) tears streaming from the affected eye despite the fact that I wasn't crying. She was like: You should probably have a look in a mirror.
My first reaction went something along the lines of: My first black eye and it came from a goat. How embarassing. :P
Still, is not quite a black eye, and it doesn't hurt very much now.
And it is quite funny, now that I think about it.
