This list is mostly for my own edification, as a list of things I plan on doing around the house in the coming year. Feel free to skip, but if you're at all interested in what the hell I'm blabbering on about (a lot of these are Pinterest inspirations so the descriptions make little sense to anyone who hasn't seen what I'm talking about!), please feel free to ask!
Bedroom:
DIY - Curtain rod/holders, curtain hemming and hanging
DIY - Magazine holder floating shelf
DIY - Faux Roman Shade for closet
DIY - Wall of fancy shopping bags, framed
To Do - Hang art
To Buy - 2 small wall sconces to hang above bed, side of window
Living Room:
DIY - Canvas photographs/David poster
DIY - Line white plastic bins with craft paper
To Do - Pick out and hang curtains (or at least valances
To Buy - Stencil for glossy wall art
Music Room:
DIY - Music Shelf - paint, (wallpaper/remove the back?)
DIY - Decoupage musical lampshade (also: buy a second-hand lamp to do this!)
To Do - Enlarge doorway with French doors, run bamboo flooring
Kitchen:
DIY - Doily table runner
DIY - Bookshelves - paint, wallpaper the back?
DIY - Glass Cabinet - paint, wallpaper the back?
?DIY - Remove drawer/drawer front, install paper towel rod?
To Do - Reorganize spices into cabinets/drawers
To Do - Hang art, herb-growing jars?
To Do - Install bench seats on 2 sides (need different table?) with cushions
To Do - Hang curtains/valances
To Buy - Rug for underneath table/chairs
Loft:
DIY - Recover file cabinets (scrapbook paper, fabric?

DIY - Side table - add table legs to an old drawer, paint/decoupage?

To Do - Hang wall art
To Do - Set up small TV, get used DVD player?
To Do - Organize storage area
To Do - Build/Restore Built-in Bookshelf, white wrought-iron railing
To Do - Paint - Dark Greens - wainscoting trim? Stencil (same stencil as downstairs, to tie together)?
To Buy - Replace carpet
Basement:
To Do - Tear up carpet, clean out moldy nastiness
To Do - Remove useless half-walls
To Do - Make repairs as needed in walls and around windows
To Do/To Buy - Put in half-bath, create laundry area
To Do - Paint : gold in storage area, lavender in laundry, burgundy in movie area (with white painted or fabric screen), chocolate brown/sage green in bathroom?
To Do - Install peg board along big wall in storage area
To Buy - Replace carpet (same as upstairs)
To Buy - Projector, cushions and couch for movie area (small fridge, microwave, shelving?)
Front Yard:
To Do - Remove stones/stumps just under the surface
Make lawn better - I don’t know where to start on this one!
To Do - Lay a proper driveway (run under fence into backyard)
- Stepping stones from driveway to front porch
Border plants for front walkway - lavender plants, silvery grasses, stone edging
Mounded beds under front windows, use compost log things to plant in (small annuals - primroses, pansies)
- Layered beds on North side of porch
- Cultivate larger bushy plants - roses, for sure
- Ground cover - succulents like hens’n’chicks
Large potted plants for dramatic effect
Lots of foliage for year-round greenery
Fairy elements - gazing balls, faces, doors, lights
Back Yard:
DIY - Pallet table
To Do - Remove apple tree
To Do - lay stonework next to kitchen (continued from driveway)
To Do - Build a small potting bench/gardening storage area (garbage containers, rainwater cistern in this area?)
To Do - Small patio just off back steps (to the South, under bedroom window), just big enough for small table, couple of chairs
To Do - Seal off exposed overhangs, to protect from rodents
To Do - Large patio with storage unit, BBQ, and fire pit (greenhouse, chicken coop eventually?)

Currently contemplating a bluish-gray (as opposed to the blah cement-gray that it currently it!) with white and raspberry (or burgundy with purpley undertones?) trim and accents. With lots of lavender, roses, primroses and pansies, the various shades of pinks and purples should blend nicely. Could pop with orange or yellow plants/flowers, too.
And thankfully, this weekend I have nowhere to go and only one small 2-hour (meeting) committment, so I'll be whittling down some of these smaller items this weekend - mostly in the loft, I imagine!
