Fingers trace your every outline, paint a picture with my hands

Sunday night!

* Normally I don't look forward to Mondays, but tomorrow will have a little (or tall, rather) something special to make it a good day.
* I have prepped for chicken pot pie tomorrow, and have pie planned for dessert (picking up, not baking myself - I am ONLY one woman, after all!).
* I finished, and am currently blocking a scarf my mama. I realized that I flipped the pattern for a bit in the middle without knowing, and then flipped back. Fortunately, the pattern change is subtle and I hope it's not noticable! First time blocking, too.
* Working on learning how to cable-knit. I *think* I've got the idea, and am going to try a simple cable-knit scarf in Antique Rose.
* House is clean, except for being a bit dusty. I think it's too late to do any vacuuming.
* I found The Tudors is now on Netflix! Wild historical liberties have been taken, but still very enjoyable whilst knitting. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (and Henry Cavill, if JRM is not available) can invade my French territories anytime he wants!
* Narrowing down ideas for my next two (and probably last two) tattoos. A rose/thistle/shamrock (the emblematic plants of the United Kingdom) in something like this, but with a red rose in the middle, OR, something like this one, but without the sunburst or crown and less cartoony-looking. Probably around/near one of my ankles.
* The other tattoo, which I am thinking of getting for my 30th birthday in a few year, would a lavender marque, similar to the placement of the cover of Kushiel's Dart, and in a similarly stylized manner, but not so big. There is an artist on deviantART who has done the entire Night Court, and I would like to use her designs as inspiration. I do like the top spray of this one, and this one is very realistic and well done, but I think I want it a tad more stylized.
* For the record, if I *was* to be the Court of Night-Blooming Flowers, I would place myself in Jasmine House - "for pleasure's sake."
* Cold limoncello whilst browning up chicken is delicious.
* I leave in a week and a half for Ohio, and it will be a very interesting time there - burial, family committments of all kinds, people that aren't speaking to other people, and so on.
* I have been re-elected as President for SAI for another year. I had rather expected this to happen, since I was the only one nominated. Everyone there says that I am doing a marvelous job, but I will be glad to hand over the responsibility, hopefully next year.
* It never ceases to amaze me how well Arnica lotion works for helping with things like bruises. Even if the getting of the bruises was really fantastic ;)

potpourri, ashleyland
