Que mi vida sea para ti, como un perfume a tus pies

Well, THAT was a much better night’s sleep than in recent days. Even though it was so good I overslept a bit, I still managed to get my butt out the door on time. AND I look cute today (oh, sexy secretary, how I love your look!), so this is a win-win-win situation.

My favorite brand of tea, Good Earth (Original Sweet & Spicy, it’s like the Pike Place Market Spice Tea) always has a fortune-cookie type quote on the tab on the tea bag. Today’s reads, “First think and then act.” ~ Wise Saying of the Orient. Maybe I should post my daily tea bag quote?

Also: BPAL FANS. They are raising their shipping rates at the end of the month, understandably, and there are at least 2 others besides myself that want to go in on an order together. Is anyone else interested? I think I shall get an order of imps (6, noted below), and a 5mL of Black Pearl, which is one of my faaaaavorites:
Evocative of the sea's unplumbed mysteries. Gentle and lovely, but menacing and profound. Coconut, Florentine iris, hazelnut and opalescent white musk.
It’s one of those where I can’t stop sniffing my wrist all day long. The musk keeps it from being too overly sweet.

I think for the imps I will get:
Eve - The spirit of temptation, the essence of lost innocence. Apple blossom, rose, ylang ylang and golden honey.
Either:
Delphi - The smoke of Sacred Incense of Apollo twined through laurel branches, bay, and honey wine.
or Manhattan - Sexuality, power, confidence. A meeting of modern, sleek elegance and rich, passionate history: sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid. WHICH TO CHOOSE???
Ophelia - Wistful and vulnerable: lotus, water blossom ivy, stargazer lily and white rose.
Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil - Whiffs of cinnamon bark, almond, and spikenard surround a perfect fruit, whose scent is akin to a tamarind, with the grace of a fine grape, as warm and rich as a fresh fig, glistening red like pomegranate seeds, and as crisp as an apple. (I’ve not copied the whole poem, just the scent notes)
Envy - Green herbs slithering through mint, lime and lavender.
Kumiho - Nine-tailed fox demon of Korean lore who transforms into the visage of an irresistible beauty in order to seduce men and lead them to their doom. A sharp, biting blend of crisp white tea and ginger.

Things I’ve learned from my BPAL experimentations:
It’s funny - as much as I love Lavender by itself, I haven’t really loved it in the BPAL scents. Too powdery, not as herbal.
Tobacco is a favorite scent.
Sandalwood is great, but never, ever Patchouli.
Musky, Spicy, or Green scents work on me, but the overly sweet ones, not so much.

And in case you were curious, the subject line translates from Spanish to mean, "That my life is for you, as a perfume on your feet." Here's a video of the song:
