Pink Hair for Hope
So you all saw my picture from the other day, but here's something I bet you weren't expecting! One of the office guys got a pink fu-manchu! He was going to get one single extension from his chin, but his wife said, "NO! It's going towards Breast Cancer, you're getting two!" Hence, the following:

Got hair?

I've never met a camera I didn't like!

Happy Halloween!
Holly Golightly is here to say hi!

Here's Gene Simmons!

And a Casino Girl.

Zombies! From the West Seattle Zombie Walk that passed right by apartment building. It took me a minute to figure out who was walking down the street yelling for "BRAAAAAINS!"

Jesus: The Original Zombie!

Corpse Bride, anyone?

I love how this person is totally looking at me like "WHAT?"

Here's my carvings for this year. A witch (naturally) and an Angry Face.

The Ghost Game II: Tales of 13 Witches
Once again, The Cabiri put on a fantastic show, very eerie and a lot of fun for the guests as it was done-up cabaret style. The first night was particularly amusing with the guests in costume. The guy that won the costume contest was a 70's Tennis/Porn Star with dangly bits hanging out of his super-short shorts. OH MY!

On the menu: Tasty cakes! Dark chocolate velvet torte with hand-whipped cream and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds.

I didn't get a picture of the whole set-up (hey, I was busy!), but it looks like the company director, rigger, and male lead in the show got one from his camera phone. You can see it HERE.

The tables turned out SO well. Since the show was witch-themed, I wanted the guests to feel like they were sitting a cauldron. So we had black tableclothes, with clear and silver dishware, and white netting for a cobwebby effect. There were 3 tealights in clear holders on top of mirrored coasters, and 2-3 large hand-blown glass candle holders in autumnal colors (for sale, too!), plus large and small bottles with various potion ingredients and cauldrons. The garlic, bread, and apples were offerings for our Dark Witches.

I am just so pleased with how everything turned out, and I had everything so organized that both nights we were at least an HOUR ahead of schedule, so there was a minimum of fuss and bother to be stressed about.

See, now don't you wish you'd been there?!?!

I made the table signs by tea-dying regular paper, all crumpled up, then burning the edges. I also hand-lettered all of them with a calligraphy marker.

"Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble!
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good."
~ Shakespeare's MacBeth

The FANTASTIC Steffon Moody made for a wonderful Master of Ceremonies. Gretchen and I turned to each as soon as he started speaking and went "OMG, we love him!"

The divine Tanya (some of you may remember her as the Sun God in the show this summer) as the gruesome necromancing witch, Erichtho. Such was the nature of the witch that her name was feared to be utterd, although Dante included her in his Inferno.

We are Decor & Dessert Goddesses Extradordinaire! True story - it said so in the programme!

Our Young Professor McGonagall!

Kitchen Witch!

My, that was an exciting weekend! How was yours?
