Sippin' in Seattle's latte land...

First off, let me say, I hope everyone had a lovely Solstice who celebrated it, and joie to all for the Longest Night! I myself had a wonderful night, as documented below.

I physically feel like crap-on-a-stick today, for some reason. Why am I always sick at Christmas??

However, I feel so good in other ways!

Last night, I had a double-date with Gretchen, Eric and Shawn. Dinner was a Mediterranean theme, wih Greek chicken, couscous, Greek Salad, and pan de Catalan. Dessert was finishing off my orange cheesecake and Mango Mimosas (substitute thawed mango sorbet for the orange juice, and voila!). I have to say, it was freaking delicious.

And a gift exchange afterwards! In which my lovely boyfriend, who said he took the easy route by getting me giftcards, gave me $250 worth in gift cards. Holy shit. To BPAL I go!!! Also, he loved his gift certificate for a massage!!! Already, this Christmas rocks. If nothing else happened, this would be amazing. Also, Gretchen and Eric were delighted with her Ganesha medallion and his oven mitts (hey, it may not be "cool" to give oven mitts, but it hurt to watch them handle hot stuff in the kitchen with dish-towels!).

They laughed at me and my magazine collection, which consists of Taste of Home, Bon Appetit, Arches, Archaeology, The Smithsonian, and to keep it girly, Glamour. Eric said if you don't know me, you'd think this was the apartment of a 60-year-old, haha. :P But I am UNASHAMED!

Also, favorite new show (because I am incapable of movement right now), is Fashionably Late with Stacy London. Hostess of What Not to Wear, she now has a talk show, a genre I normally detest. But she has a Hot Bartender and all the audience members are kept happy with cocktails, makeovers, free clothes and jewelry, she has a WALL OF SHOES, and "today"/last night, they made a gigantic cookie recipe. It feels like a Friday Night with Girlfriends, which is obviously the intent! Cute freaking show.

Tis the season to be crazy/busy! How busy? Let's check my schedule for this month:
12/12 - Company Holiday Party
12/15 - Burlesque Show
12/16 - Holiday Party at Jenni's

Still to Come:
Birthday Extravaganza Weekend! Comment below to make sure you're on the email list!

That is not counting ballet class and going to Shawn's in the evenings (twice now!). Haha, I love it!

So I need to go do last night's dishes, and paint my nails. If I don't post anything else till the Big Day, I hope you all have a lovely, safe, and happy Holiday Season!
