Renaissance Faire 2007!
I attended my third Renaissance Faire yesterday, in costumes designed and hand-made by my lovely Gretchen. We got so many compliments and pictures taken, and of course we had a smashing good time!

There's always a story being played out during the faire. This year's theme was Mary, Queen of Scots, and her battle with her husband Lord Darnley. They travel the fairgrounds and gather their courts around them.

The King, however, required groveling...
And would administer a royal spanking if it didn't please him!
And here's some jubblies for the fellows to enjoy!
There were folk of many sorts, including knights...
...and fools (with children)...
...and doggies dressed up too!

And Eric and me... who we decided looked like Lady Cluck from Disney's Robin Hood...
As always, the jousting and gypsy horse shows were presented. With a Viking Announcer!

A Ren Faire tradition - the Fox Tail. If it's worn on the side, it means you're taken. If it's worn in the back, it means you're "on the prowl" for some "tail!" And now I have one of my own!

And walking the tightrope while juggling fire... 5-year-old Flambe, anyone?
We are gorgeous ladies!!!
As always, a lovely time was had by all who attended. Now, to start on Next Year's costumes!!! XD
