How do you measure the seasons of YOUR life?
I'm going to be productive today if it kills me - which it might, seeing as how I woke up hysterical and crying, dreaming that my dad had died. I wonder if this is a psychological "death" relating to the relationship, or lack thereof, with my sister? Our fight has to do with my dad's side of the family... But it also means I woke up late and I was totally exhausted by the time I drove into work. It took me 2 hours to really get into the swing of things, and felt like I cared about my job.
But things will get done today! Inbox cleaning and customer scheduling chief among them. Also, update site notes.
In notable news from work, we are having pizza brought in for lunch tomorrow. YAY! And in VERY cool news, one of our apprentices has won the local, state and West Coast Regional Apprenticeship competition, and will be going to Ann Arbor, MI to compete on the national level. How cool is that? He is a smart cookie.

I hate how I always have to pee about 15 minutes after I get back from lunch - which is when half my team leaves for THEIR lunch breaks, and that means I'm one of two people here to answer phones. I need to have a "wee" talk with my bladder (HA HA, I'M PUNNY!)

Packing resumes tonight, the plan of attack is all the pictures on the wall, and stuff from the bedroom. I have a LOLcat all ready to post when I am done with all of this shite. Hehe. I also need to go to the grocery store, I am trying a new recipe of linguine with carrot and bell pepper ribbons, in a lemon-ginger sauce. Nice, light, cheap and easy. Yay! And I need to clean, possibly change the sheets, do some more laundry and post pictures of M&M. And get a review of the first 3 [edited] chapters of Erik's book to him, and continue reading in my other copy. BUSY NIGHT!
But it doesn't end there - I'm booked out almost until September!!!

Next Weekend - Moving!
2nd Weekend in August - Vegas Man is visiting, looks like it will be for about 3 days, and will include hauling him off to the Renaissance Faire in Gig Harbor (don't worry, he's okay with that)
3rd Weekend - back to Wenatchee for Cate Remsen's wedding
4th Weekend - nothing planned, possibly a weekend off from life?
Next weekend after that is Labor Day. Day off from work, hooray!
I feel busy, but not overwhelmingly so, which is a good balance for me. Also, am thinking about attending an author signing up in the U District on Tuesday. I haven't actually read any of her books, but they look good (and at least one was highly recommended by cataroo), so I might go up. Anyone want to join? Maybe my usual book-signing buddies, eriksdb & co.? It's for Lisa See, who is promoting her new book Peony in Love, but I know Cat has read Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, which look really good to me. Laurell K. Hamilton, of Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter fame is also coming to the University Bookstore this fall, which I know Gretchen wants to attend.
Last night was my last night of aerial for a while, at least until I get a raise (hopefully). It was bittersweet, since I knew I had to make the most of it, but on the plus side, I felt like I'd come a long way since January - I can get up on the bar consistently (albeit, with more enthusiasm than grace, haha), and I feel much more secure in the moves that I know. Especially when I get to spin while I'm doing them, hehe. I've still got a long way to go, but Trapecia was totally right in having me continue to work on the basics to get secure and confident up there. I'm even a little sore from last night (in a good, oh-I-worked-out kind of way), as I got to do improv twice! Yay improv :) In a few months, with continued work with my trainer, I should be good to go and continue and get better. I will be starting the Intermediate Ballet classes this fall as well, so that will be challenging, and I think I'm ready for it.
Back to worky worky. Awww, I just got an email from my boss how pleased she was with a difficult call that I booked. Yay boss approval! How's your day going, my loves???
