Virgen on the Rocks: A Renaissance Cocktail

Jan 25, 2003 20:53

As my Renaissance Europe prof said it "One week down, 13 more to go." Classes are so far, so good. I think my History 200 class will be amazingly helpful in writing ALL THESE DAMN PAPERS!!! I just adore being a history major. However, I realized today that after this semester, I need only take one more academic music class to fulfill my minor requirements (sadly, chorale and lessons will be taken from now until the end of time. I swear, I've been taking piano for so long, it feels like it will never end. I mean, I like it and all, but 14 years is a long time. . . of course, you'd also think I'd be better, but go figure). I love the prof for Renaissance Europe, he's demanding but he KNOWS what he's doing, plus he's a little more accesible than in History 101. Music of the World's Peoples will be a breeze, lots of very liberal people, should be a nice change from classes that are exclusively yuppie filled. Not that I don't like yuppies, but sometimes the more hippie-style people can offer a much different viewpoint from the status quo (I should know, I dated one for over 2 years. . . good, and interesting times). Intro to Comparative Politics will be nice having quizzes everyday, as it will FORCE me to keep up with the reading, my goal for all my classes this time around. I think it's a little funny that all my classes are in Wyatt for the vast majority of the time, and in Music the rest. What a variety. Go history majors.

Getting VERY close to that $1,000 paycheck, which I so desperately need. Last check, I was on 930-something.

Sadly, I have lost my ID card. . . I still think it's in my room, and I always trust my vibes. I reaaaaaaaaally don't want to pay to have it replaced. And I know exactly where it was the last time I saw it, so I'm very confuzzeled, to use a Lexi-ism.

Tonight: Midnight Breakfast, baby! Apparently the Security guys are really annoyed with that, because it means more work. And it's going to be all tight-as-hell around there. . .all the doors locked except for ONE, at which there will be a security guy checking tickets. Grrrrr. Thanks to the stupid idiots at the last two, for making this a pain in the butt process now. Fabulous. Oh well. Free food, what can I say?

And boys are annoying. Never around when you want them to be, and they won't leave when you can't stand them. I'm picking up vibes from some rather unexpected sources. And I'm not quite sure what to think of all that. However, when they're being giant pains, they are rather amusing, either in presence or to talk endlessly about. "No one will ever win the battle of the sexes, there's too much fraternizing with the enemy."

All right, it's Saturday night, and I get off in 50 minutes. Time to start wreaking havoc!!!
