[Oh hey, there's a girl in the fountain. Is this thing common around here? Having recently arrived, Anise didn't know, but she figured she might as well give the girl a poke before she accidentally drowned herself. So, there you are! Poke poke poke at the back of your head, please to be waking up now?]

[Pao-lin groans...and then just lets her head loll to the side. Might have to try something else!]

[Jeez, she should just leave you here. ):< But Anise is a sweet and good-natured girl who's hoping she'll get a reward for this, so she stops poking and leans forward to shout in Pao-lin's ear.]

[That does it! Pao-lin yelps and flinches to the side, turning slightly to see who the heck is yelling into her ear. She looks like she's about to ask who Anise is, but then she notices that she's sitting in a fountain in a very unfamiliar place.

Even worse, she's wearing a dress.

Shivering a little, Pao-lin gets to her feet, her arms crossed over her chest, and looks around.]

What's going on...? Wh-where is this place?

Oh good, you weren't dead! [Anise's grins at her.] Um, I just found you in the water fountain. You looked kinda scary floating around like that, so I thought I should wake you up! Did I interrupt a ritual or something? [Who knows. Floating around in a water fountain might be a tradition in Luceti.]

[Pao-lin stares at Anise for a bit.]

Wh-what? No! I was just sleeping in the gym and --

Where am I? Who are you?

[She blinks, and then suddenly wriggles her shoulders a bit, peering back over them.]

And why do I have wings?!

[Anise figures it out pretty quickly.] Ohhhh, so you're a New Feather, huh? We're in a place called Luceti right now.

L-Luceti? New Feather...? [Pao-lin has noooo idea where to start with the massive amount of wrongness she's somehow fallen into.]

It's okay; I didn't get this stuff when I arrived either! [Hmm, there's so much to say. It's kind of difficult to organize her thoughts.] Um, I know this is pretty unbelievable, but you're not in your own world anymore! A bunch of scientists called the Malnosso kidnapped us and stuck us here to experiment on. They're the ones who stuck these wings on us. A newcomer to Luceti's called New Feather! I'm one too!

[Pao-lin feels slightly better to learn that she's talking to another newcomer to this Luceti place, especially because this girl looks about her age, too. Still, she'd rather not be here at all.]

The Malnosso? Are they connected to Ouroboros?

[Pao-lin hesitates for a moment. She decides that it might not be a good idea to press any further on the subject of Ouroboros. They were a secretive organization, and if they found out someone was asking around about them they'd probably get a little twitchy.]

N-never mind. Is there any way to leave? Or to get these wings off? [Though she has to admit, having wings is kind of cool. She just wishes they were a cooler color than her hair color, like gold and silver or something. And that they didn't hurt her back so much.]

[Sigh. Another person trying to keep things from her. Oh well, nothing new!] No...The only way to leave is if the Malnosso decide to send you back! Some people have been here for years already! [Her eyes widen a bit and she waves her hands frantically.] You can't yank off your wings! You'll die if you do!
