Strongly warded and sealed, stamped and forwarded by the War Bureau:
To her twin sister, Juliana Peverell:
Dear Julie,
Well, I can't tell you where I am, and I can't tell you what I'm doing, how's that for amusing?
I just want you not to worry too much about me. We're looking for someone who went missing, but I've got to do it close to enemy lines. Of course it could be worse, I could be out there setting up incendiaries and the like the way you were.
But you knew that, so I thought you wouldn't want to go too long without word from me. And I'm having a great time!
All my love,
Cady

To her Guild master, Magistra Madeline Proctor:
Dear Magistra P,
How on earth do you tell someone who's grown up his whole life thinking his family's just a little bit special that he's actually a wizard? Should I even bother? Nothing I say seems to sink all the way in and we're not in a place where I can just tell him flat out. (I can't say too much about where I am or what I'm doing, but I'm learning a lot about how the Muggles do things, some of which is educational but most of which is terrifying.)
Thing is, as soon as he's well, I am probably going to need his help with my other job.
I still can't thank you enough for letting me do this, even if it does mean I'm going to be a journeyman as long as Artisson and Allison were, maybe even as long as Zabini (God forbid!)
Sincerely yours,
Arcadia
