Storm Photos

The snow finally quit today at about 10:00 am. In my front yard I measured 22 inches (56 cm) of snow.

Things were a horrible mess last night. On Hwy 36, the main route between Denver & Boulder, hundreds of cars were stranded and/or abandoned. Many people were rescued by the National Guard and taken to local emergency shelters. Channel 9 news is reporting that this will probably be recognized as Denver's fourth worst snow storm in recorded history.

The squirrels usually like to run across the top of this fence, between the pickets, but not today!

Looking up the street at Bear Peak and Devil's Thumb. Conveniently, so far the snow plows have gone only in this direction, thereby pushing the snow across the street and away from my driveway.

That's my 240SX buried in snow up to the top of the wheel wells. Green Mtn is in the background.

Suzy again proves her worth by plowing through 22 inches of snow on the driveway. Go Suzy!
