ADSL Woes

Right, I'm annoyed, After moving house I didn't really expect things to go amazingly, to be fair I didn't really expect competence from british telecom at all, and I was proved correct on this. First of all came the saga of getting a Centrica business line disconnected from my new house which took a week to get through to the account holder then litereally 30 mins to get the line disconnected !! Now is the saga of BT not having enough engineers to wire up people for ADSL at the exchange. Now people may think I'm being harsh on this however, BT recently underwent a restructure where they actually increased their engineer count, but they decided to organise them in such a way that they are much less available and so there is a percieved shortage. These same engineers were doing the work effectively before and the workload hasn't increased (way to go bt its efficiency in reverse). Now after bitching about that they did manage to connect my adsl to my phone line so I now need microfilters on stuff or i hear the adsl badness. This is great so what happens I fire up my router and NOTHING. I try the bt test user account and that connects perfectly (prooving its not a shit microfilter)Trouble with that account is you can't see the world with it, its just litereally a test account. So then I try my isps test account  and it won't connect. So I speak to my ISP who says its BTs fault and they have to log it (that was 5 days ago). To be fair to my ISP they have phoned me every two days to tell me it still doesn't work (haha like i didn't know). The problem is my account isn't hooking up with my ISPs adsl or whatever and so I can't authenticate and gain access to their servers. I am told that if it doesn't get sorted in 48 hours they are going to send a man with a big hammer to my house to help me configure my router (despite them checking this on the phone with me and me having gone through settings a billion times). Guys its NOT MY  BLOODY SETTINGS, IF IT WAS IT WOULDN'T CONNECT TO THE TEST ACCOUNT !!!!!! I am missing out on WOW and that is a bad bad thing, it makes for a grumpy me. In other news sky+ arrived and I now have so much tv recorded its silly :)
