Dear York administration and both CUPE unions threatening to strike,
I don't know much about the admin staff/custodian demands, but I do know some about the TA/GA/RA/contract faculty demands. And York administration's reaction.
Let me just say, it's all just a bit petty and you all need to compromise a little, stubbornness is not going to solve anything. I think that it SHOULD go to binding arbitration and that a strike really won't solve anything except to put york into a deficeit (sp?) so your 30% higher paychecks will all bounce, but none of that really matters.
For my own selfish reasons, please strike/ lock out for NO LONGER than like, a week. Not long enough to extend the semester, but long enough to catch up on sleep.
