OKAY GUYS.
So Sarah is writing that article about the "transition to university", right? SO I vote we all comment on this post and list stuff that comes to mind when we think of our experiences, that way she can get commuter peoples and rez peoples too!

So, I'll start!
-THE 60 IN THE MORNING HOLY CRAP. Seriously, 2 60Fs passed by the stop today without even stopping 'cause they were too full. I was gonna take the E and just walk, but the 2 that passed were equally full, and I wasn't going to get on a disgustingly crowded bus just to have to walk and be late for my class :(
-All the awesome people you meet! Considering there's about 150 people in my program and I have class with all of them... yeah.
-300+ person classes
-16-20 person classes
-Nobody actually cares if you do your homework
-A lot of classes don't even care if you show up, but all mine have attendance marks... hmm...
-I actually have had a lot less homework so far...
-Really wonky schedules... I'm lucky, I start at the same time every day, but every day is different, and most people don't start at the same time every day
-Going to a school that has NOTHING to do with where you live like high school does, so it means either moving to where your school is or commuting, and some people commute like, 2 hours. Well, in rush hour Toronto traffic, that means you live 3 major streets away, but you know what I mean ;)
-Which extends into my next point, making friends who possibly live NOWHERE NEAR YOU, like way out in Markham, for example *cough* Sarina *cough*
-A bunch of your friends moving away, and maybe not really being able to hang around with them much anymore :(
-Messed up sleep patterns due to going to school for 8:30 EVERY MORNING. But I guess that's just me. And everyone else in my program (except all the people who have Fridays off, curse them!)

Aaaaaaanyway, Sarah, hope this helps and you can get some awesome ideas, and I hope other people can give you ideas as well. Everyone else- comment with your ideas about the "transition to university"! About the not serious thing.... it doesn't really have to be SERIOUS, just honest. I can give you a hand with it if you want. Also, let me know what times you are USUALLY in your rez, my mom said I can call you so long as I pay her back for the call and we get a deal on long-distance, which I never knew before, so I will totally call you.... if I can get you on a Wednesday between my classes (I can be home to call you from aroun 12:30-3) I can maybe even get some privacy on the phone, which is always nice even when talking about things that aren't private.
