Aftermath of Paul McCartney concert

I've got to say that DRUMMER Abe Laboriel Jr was particularly spot-on good, quiet when he needed to be, and booming loud, loud when called for. His technical accuracy was outstanding!! . He was matching the essense of the old songs while adding his own subtle accentuations, very appreciated, yet without overpowering the theme of the flow of the beat. Dark drumsticks with light tips helped to show the live action. He was smiling often, and hitting the high notes as a very capable singer.

Harmonies during "Paperback Writer" particularly impressive.

The two guitarists backfilling Paul were very good, I particularly enjoyed the hammering and seemingly effortless complex effots by the one on the left during "Daytripper", I'll find his name on the web somewhere. He dramatically played a final note and collapsed on the floor - we all enjoyed that - very Rock and Roll.

Oh, Paul McCartney was good, too.
What can I say here, he's great, RUNNING around the stage and then up the stairs to jam on the piano for us, swapping out between 7 or 8 guitars, and guitar solos at the end with the two other guitarists without even looking and a voice that is the same as every Wings Over America song you ever heard. The showmanship of this man - amazing - he truly raises the bar for every show I'll ever see again - he knows what to say to a Boston crowd and how to shake it for the ladies, and how to get all the men in the crowd to sing along with him, and the touseled hair. Pointing, shouting, jumping all over the place (do I mean me, or do I mean him?) it's truly an honor to have been in same place as this musician who truly seems to love performing.

Lighting: Top notch

Production: The big screen video live shots were SO well done, rivaling MTV vidoes after months of editing.

Camera crew: Close ups on guitar too far zoomed in, too often saw just the strings in between both playing hands - and neither hand in the shot that we do want to see. I think camera persons should be required to be guitar players because those shots sucked. Shots of the drummer shaky way too often they need to correct that - we wanted full set Laboriel camera shots!

The flash pots used during "Live and Let Die" were very appreciated. I have a picture, I'll upload it later.

Set List: He started with a fast jammin Baby You Can Drive My Car, he also played Hey Jude, Live and Let Die are the ones that stick out in my mind. I enjoyed Band on The Run... one of my favorites. Rocked out to Back in the USSR.
