Dear Mimi,

Who are you and what the hell have you done with Mariah Carey?

Cheers!
Robbie

A box of 30 copies of The Emanicipation Of Mimi arrived at the station yesterday and as soon as Andy opened the box, I was on that like a fly on shit. I still don't know how I feel about the album. In the liner notes she writes, "This album is dedicated to ( Read more... )

Dear Robbie,

I was really excited about this album, but I think you just killed it for me.

Well damn. I absolutely adore the CD. The album as a whole had to grow on me, for I was so in love with "It's Like That," "We Belong Together," and "Mine Again," but since then, every song has something about it that I like. I agree that they all start to blend in with each other, but for some reason I kind of like it. I think if she wasn't such a great singer, the CD would have sucked, but her vocal technicalities are what makes the album great.

Can we have a moment of silence....?

God?

OH SHIT! Wrong singer. Same script though.

Alright, enough of my random babble. Robbie, I can understand why you would be disappointed, but, I mean, I don't know what I mean. I personally like this album, it's not as personal as Mariah's have been, because most of these songs are about random hookups, and unless Mariah's new pasttime is whoring up the industry, than, God Damn. Let me fit in line, bitches!

I mean, some of the songs are personal...but, it's not a general Mariah CD.

I still <3 It.
