"Why can't gay people be in the army? What's that about? What's the army afraid is going to happen if gay people are in it? [in a deep army voice] 'PRIVATE, SHOOT THAT MAN!' [in a higher voice] 'I ... uh ... can't - he's adorable.' [normal voice] You know, what I think the army's actually afraid of is a thousand gay guys with M-16s going, 'WHO'D you call a faggot?'" - Jon Stewart
Mmm, the Daily Show.
So this particular quote comes up because a) I love it, and b) I had to write this portrait of a hero for French class and I am absolutely writing it on Jon Stewart. ^^ Yey.
And I still have to finish Jane Eyre. And maybe finish up my French. And I should do both of those things now, because I want to spend at least six hours playing AOM:tTE. Oh, the demands on my time! ^^
So. Yeah. Watched the 1963 four-hour Cleopatra yesterday - and, oh! The sets! The costumes! The everything! **hearts it** And I can't believe that Twentieth Century Fox cut two hours of it - and then lost those two hours, to boot. I don't understand why they wouldn't chop it into two three-hour movies. But! Rex Harrison! **laughs** It was so bizarre to see Henry Higgins making moves on Cleopatra. I mean, eep.
**reads that back** Okay, I had some Coke, so that's probably why my sentences are all jumpy and fragmented. Yes, I had Coke before 9:00 in the morning. Yey me.
Right. Jane Eyre. Focus.
