Time to start writing again. It's been almost a year. I was very prolific when I was younger. I have volumes and volumes of handwritten journals. You'd think as I got older I'd have more to write about and with the computer it's so much easier. Oh well, I promise to try to do better.
I played a PL Omaha H/L tournament
PokerStars this weekend. The buyin was 300+30 and there were 2889 people playing. I came in 6th place and won 31,400 (somewhere around that amount). Too bad it was all play money. Why can't I do that when it comes to real money tournaments?
As for the subject of this post, RIP, my refrigerator has died and I'm very sad. To me the fridge is the one appliance in the kitchen that has a personality. Okay, it's 25 1/2 years old, but I will miss it. I guess it's all the stuff stuck onto it. Even if I tried to put all that on the new one it wouldn't be the same. There's even a picture I cut out of the local paper and tacked on there in 1987 with my daughter and her class saying the Pledge of Allegience. I guess it's time to pack all that stuff up in a box and put it all away in a closet.
On the other hand, I did get a good deal on a new one. It's a sracth and dent I got at Lowe's. Normally $898 I got it for $500. There's a small dent on the bottom of the door. It will be delivered on Wed. Now I have to get used to a top freezer instead of a side by side. And did I mention that it's chrome? Actually pretty sharp looking.
