I had a good weekend.
Sarah showed up at the end of band on Fri. :) Man, was it good to have her here, I needed her. She said the "best friend sensors" must have told her to come visit this particular weekend. She stayed until after the game yesterday, she loved the Pride. Cute quote - "I'm missing something. Where's my uniform??" :)
Yeah, yesterday was crazy. We had a parade in the morning since it's 1890's Weekend, went better than I expected. Headed up to the President's house directly after, played for him - I like him, he talks to the band to thank us instead of just to Dr. B. Had a half an hour for lunch, marched down to the field for pregame. Watched the game, played the halftime show, watched the game some more. We cheered more at that game than we did all last season. Yeah. Making up for something?? It was fun though, it apparently motivated the football players, we only lost something like 45-18. Which is much better than 88-12. After the game, ran back up to Butler, said goodbye to Sarah, and got on a bus to go to Boyertown for their band exhibition. 15 minutes into the trip the truck with all the pit equipment breaks down. Waited on the side of the road for 45 minutes. Got to Boyertown late, but no matter. Performed the show, which was AWESOME, and oh so much fun. Was fed by means of a catered meal, thank you Boyertown and Stacey's mom. Got back on the bus... Got home at 3am.
Yes. Lots to do today, I have 2 dresses to hem, I'm hoping I remember how to blind hem and that this material will work on the sewing machine. I cannot hand hem 2 of those in 5 days. :p Ed psych of death homework... TBS website and then TBS music rehearsal tonight.
