God gives at least one joy to help you through a trial.
My trial:
As of this second, Emily hates me. I was wrong and stupid, I admit it. But when someone still hates you, even after an apology, what else is there to do? It's killing me, it really is. And though I know she's 16, and I too said and behaved the same way, it still hurts. A lot.
My joys - and yes, there are more than one:
My best friends - I called roomie in tears, and she let me cry. She tried to boost my spirits, however well it actually worked. And she called me back so I could hear Andy sing. If I could make a face with text characters that smile through the tears, I would. And I have this great comfort in knowing there are most likely more of you out there that would do the same thing. I love you guys, and I appreciate you more than I will ever be able to express. Never forget that.
Band - I got the email from Dr. B today. I'm one of the picc section leaders, with Heather. I am sooooo excited, I've been hoping and praying for that email all summer, and it came. Wednesday. Band starts Wednesday!
Good times with good friends - Sarah and I went out to the Eastview Mall yesterday, the farthest one from us (45 min) 'cause we felt like it... And we got hit on by a gay Texas frat boy. Yes, that's right. My first impression of him was that he was gay, as was Sarah's but he was definitely interested in Sarah, it was pretty funny and creepy all at the same time. He wanted to sell us something, of course, and Sarah unfortunately bought into it, we didn't think that it could have been a scam until after she'd given him money... But the funny thing was, she didn't care so much, she paid him so he'd shut up! The odd times didn't stop there... We went to Ontario Beach Park, just on my random whim to walk on the sand (I know, weird, right?) and got checked out by two of the most loser-type guys I've ever seen. It was a fun day, very odd, but who could have that kind of adventure but the two of us? Peculiar treasures.
6 more days. Or sooner, depending on my work schedule. All I know is that I will be back in Mansfield as soon as possible.
