Fandom: Harry Potter
Character/Pairing: Draco/Hermione
Rating & Word Count: T && 526
“Granger. You don’t put that in there yet.” Draco scowled. This detention was entirely uncalled for. He hadn’t eve done anything wrong this time. Tomorrow morning he’d have to write his father and tell him that the teachers were playing favorites and punishing him for no reason.
“Yes you do Malfoy. I’ve done this potion before.” Hermione said in her matter-of-fact way. And they called purebloods snooty.
“Well then you did it wrong.”
Hermione looked straight ahead and let both of her hands hit the table with a soft thud. She’d been putting up with this for fifteen minute and her patience was already gone. Malfoy had a way of bringing that out in people. All she had to do was breath in and out until the need wring neck past.
A less calm and more aggravated breath left Draco’s lips and he glared at Hermione. There was no denying that Hermione Granger was a know-it-all, but Draco knew he was right, and he wouldn’t let a stubborn mudblood force him to spend more evenings in detention.
With her wits about her once again, Hermione moved her hand to put that little bit of wolfsbane in the potion.
Like lightening, Draco’s hand came around her wrist, quite painfully. Dully, Hermione noticed that his hand was incredibly pale, which was remarkable against her skin since she wasn’t that tan at all.
Through his teeth, Draco hissed. “You’re doing it wrong.” And just like that her calming breathes meant nothing.
After shaking free of his grip and spinning in her seat towards the stupid ferret, Hermione said, “Oh really?!”
“Yes. Really.” Draco’s temper was neck-in-neck with Hermione’s. He stood up so that he could tower over her.
“Well you are positively the most annoying and spineless little ferret-of-a-boy that I have ever met!” She poked him, hard, as she said boy.
“And you’re a snobby know-it-all mudblood.” SLAP! Hermione put her hands back to her sides. There was just something about Draco Malfoy that made all her planning and thoughts go to rubble. How she wished that she had her wand, but detention had taken it from her. Slughorn was silly to leave them alone. They didn’t have their wands, but they could still harm each other.
As Draco’s head reeled back to her, a furious look was in his eyes, but there was something else. Something hidden that Hermione couldn’t quite see, nor did she have the time to look. Both hands came at her and grabbed her shoulders and suddenly he was kissing her and she was kissing back.
Both parties jumped back, eyes wide.
Then Draco did what Draco always does. Make Hermione’s body fight off the power of her brain. On their own accord, her hands reached up and tangled themselves in Draco’s hair as they kissed again. This kiss was equally as needy and rough as the last, but it lasted a great deal longer.
When it broke, they sat down, both very disgusted with themselves. “We never ever speak of this again.” Hermione said, adding the wolfsbane.
“Oh really?” Draco said, disgust leaking into his sarcastic tone.
“Yes. Really.” Hermione replied, scowling.

Possibly my favorite line. And then the ORLY and YA RLY just made this priceless. XP

Oh this was hysterical fun times!
...and, for the record, I'm just going to assume that Draco was right all along and they have to spend tomorrow in detention together doing it all over again!
